If you have visited my blog in the last couple of weeks, you will have noticed there are no photos of my sessions. Just a bunch of posts with the same picture saying I need to update my 3rd Party Service provider. For the last 10 years I had been using Photobucket to host my blog photos, because it was free. Yeah yeah I know. Free never stays free. And it didn’t. Overnight, one day in June, Photobucket broke the links for 10’s of millions of photos and sent out word that we had to pay for their highest level of service before they would restore the links. Myself and millions of other long time users were shocked and very upset. So I am now trying to rebuild my blog by uploading the photos again through MyFotoJournal, which hosts my blog. This is what I should have done in the beginning. In the meantime, please visit my Facebook Page for the latest photos. This will take a long time to fix.

Ps here is an updated photo of my little family. This was from the last few days we had with our little dog, Shadow.
You can’t tell from the smile and the warm Autumn colours, but this session with the Turton family was miserably cold. I fell like the temperature drop from the day before to the day of the session was about 25 degrees. I’ve known Amy since we were in elementary school together, maybe even playschool. We reconnected over Facebook and it was an honour to be able to photograph their family at one of my favorite natural areas in the Edmonton region. The Fall colours at Chickakoo Lake were top notch. Alberta doesn’t see many reds and oranges in the Fall as we don’t have Maple trees. But the dogwood bushes deliver a bit of extra punch. It was great talking with Amy and Searle about our kids and the activities they are into. The little one is such a little card. I think he gets it from his dad.

I first met this sweet family at my middle daughter’s preschool. She and Lexi were classmates together. It was a honour to photograph the newborn photos for baby Elijiah. Lexi and Olivia sure loved him during our session and I got some really sweet pictures of the three of the kids together. It did take some extra convincing. As with most kids though.

If you follow my blog, you should be family with the Thompson family as I have photographed them several times over the last few years. This was a special session as it going to be a gift for Grandma of all her grandchildren. It’s always a bit tricky working with lots of children (wandering eyes and short attention spans), but the little girl in the green shirt also had a broken leg and was in a cast. And we had a baby in the group too! I like a challenge. Just kidding. They were all fun to photograph in the long grasses near their Sherwood Park homes.
