If you have visited my blog in the last couple of weeks, you will have noticed there are no photos of my sessions. Just a bunch of posts with the same picture saying I need to update my 3rd Party Service provider. For the last 10 years I had been using Photobucket to host my blog photos, because it was free. Yeah yeah I know. Free never stays free. And it didn’t. Overnight, one day in June, Photobucket broke the links for 10’s of millions of photos and sent out word that we had to pay for their highest level of service before they would restore the links. Myself and millions of other long time users were shocked and very upset. So I am now trying to rebuild my blog by uploading the photos again through MyFotoJournal, which hosts my blog. This is what I should have done in the beginning. In the meantime, please visit my Facebook Page for the latest photos. This will take a long time to fix.

Ps here is an updated photo of my little family. This was from the last few days we had with our little dog, Shadow.
Introducing Baby A! Such a beautiful little girl. Here’s a quick refresher on her mommy’s maternity session in the Spring blossoms.
Baby A is one of my “A Year of Firsts” babies and I am looking forward to seeing how much she has changed at her 6 month session. Her big brother is such a good little guy. Some of the most important photos in a newborn session, with families with older children, are of the children holding the baby. Some older siblings aren’t interested in baby (like my daughter Teagan was with her baby sister). And other children love to hold their baby brother’s and sister’s. Baby A’s brother was in the later category and did wonderfully. Baby A is a lucky little girl!
I got to do this session at a small lake near Athabasca over the summer. First a little background history — I have known Deirdre for a few years as we used to be coworkers at a local radio station. One of our other former coworker’s parents own a cabin up north and we got the opportunity to take off for a weekend on a girl’s only trip. It was fun! I wish we had more lake locations closer to Edmonton. That would be awesome for photos.
You will see much more of Deirdre’s little family on the blog over the next year as they are part of my Year of Firsts baby program. She has had her baby and I get to meet him tomorrow! But first the maternity session………
We were racing the clock, because a storm was brewing fast! I’m pretty sure lake+lightening+pregnant woman+camera don’t make a very good combination.
