If you have visited my blog in the last couple of weeks, you will have noticed there are no photos of my sessions. Just a bunch of posts with the same picture saying I need to update my 3rd Party Service provider. For the last 10 years I had been using Photobucket to host my blog photos, because it was free. Yeah yeah I know. Free never stays free. And it didn’t. Overnight, one day in June, Photobucket broke the links for 10’s of millions of photos and sent out word that we had to pay for their highest level of service before they would restore the links. Myself and millions of other long time users were shocked and very upset. So I am now trying to rebuild my blog by uploading the photos again through MyFotoJournal, which hosts my blog. This is what I should have done in the beginning. In the meantime, please visit my Facebook Page for the latest photos. This will take a long time to fix.

Ps here is an updated photo of my little family. This was from the last few days we had with our little dog, Shadow.
Meet the most well behaved and sleepy baby’s I have ever photographed! These two little men were fantastic models! If I only I had a trophy I could give out. Such a joy to meet them and their family! Kinda makes me want to have twins of my own ;)
Hope everyone had a great Canada Day long weekend ! Unfortunately Monday came too soon. Here are some faces that should cheer you up as you head back to work. All of these cuties are up for adoption at the Edmonton Humane Society! The shelter is currently at capacity for cats. So if you were thinking of adopting one, now is definitely the right time!. There were also a lot of black cats on my photo list….including Olivia who was brought into the shelter as a stray mother with six kittens. Olivia is the black beauty missing the tips of her ears from frost bite.
Right before I met up with the R family to take some photos of their daughters, I was reading an article on a photography website I follow. Basically it was about talking to kids (girls especially) in a less stereotypical way. For example, instead of commenting on how cute a dress the girl is wearing, or that her hair makes her look like a princess….ask her what her favorite food is or where she goes to school. I thought this sounded pretty good and was going to try it at my session. WELL…as soon as these two girls stepped out of their car — that article’s advice was thrown out the window! Seriously! Are they not the most beautiful girls ever? And they were so fun to photograph! Oh and I did find out where they go to school ;)
