Rebuilding in Progress

If you have visited my blog in the last couple of weeks, you will have noticed there are no photos of my sessions. Just a bunch of posts with  the same picture saying I need to update my 3rd Party Service provider.  For the last 10 years I had been using Photobucket to host my blog photos, because it was free. Yeah yeah I know. Free never stays free. And it didn’t. Overnight, one day in June, Photobucket broke the links for 10’s of millions of photos and sent out word that we had to pay for their highest level of service before they would restore the links. Myself and millions of other long time users were shocked and very upset. So I am now trying to rebuild my blog by uploading the photos again through MyFotoJournal, which hosts my blog. This is what I should have done in the beginning. In the meantime, please visit my Facebook Page for the latest photos. This will take a long time to fix.

Ps here is an updated photo of my little family. This was from the last few days we had with our little dog, Shadow.

Oskar * Edmonton Child and Family Photography

Meet Oskar and his mommy & daddy. Poor little guy was just not having a good day when I was there for the session. He was not feeling very well. Mom & Dad live in a lovely part of Edmonton — with historic homes and mature trees. Oskar will have lots of fun when he is older, running and jumping into all the leaves. I miss that about living in a new condo complex. The trees just don’t deliver. But then again I may have a different opinion if I had to rake ;)

And on a side-note: I have been busy planning a huge trade show in west Edmonton. It happens TOMORROW and I’d love to see you there!  The Urban Mommy Expo is October 15th from 10am-4pm at WECA (6315-199th street). Come check out more than 60 of Edmonton’s best female entrepreneurs and artisans. The first 100 people through the door get an awesome swag bag! Get your autograph with Olympic Gold Medalist Jamie Sale from 12pm-1pm! There will be a fabulous kids zone: Themed Bouncy castle, face painting, hair decorations (parents can get a massage while the kids play.)

A portion of the proceeds from the $2 admission (kids 6 & under are free) and the Raffle Draws will go to the Sister Annata Brockman Elementary School Playground Project.  Hope to see you there!

S Family * Spruce Grove Family Photographer

Meet the wonderful S Family!  This session was done on their daughter’s first birthday. Check out her adorable little pigtails! I love the way they stick straight up. She was not too impressed with me. I couldn’t do anything to make her smile. She loves her daddy though! And big brother kept me on my toes! But I finally got his attention by using a little trickery. I got him to look into the lens by telling him he could see my funny coloured eyes. It worked! Got a cute picture.

Mom (Josline) is the founder of a fantastic program in Spruce Grove for new moms and moms with toddlers!  Meet Up Mamas will be starting their next session in November.
