Rebuilding in Progress

If you have visited my blog in the last couple of weeks, you will have noticed there are no photos of my sessions. Just a bunch of posts with  the same picture saying I need to update my 3rd Party Service provider.  For the last 10 years I had been using Photobucket to host my blog photos, because it was free. Yeah yeah I know. Free never stays free. And it didn’t. Overnight, one day in June, Photobucket broke the links for 10’s of millions of photos and sent out word that we had to pay for their highest level of service before they would restore the links. Myself and millions of other long time users were shocked and very upset. So I am now trying to rebuild my blog by uploading the photos again through MyFotoJournal, which hosts my blog. This is what I should have done in the beginning. In the meantime, please visit my Facebook Page for the latest photos. This will take a long time to fix.

Edmonton Maternity Photographer * Amanda

Amanda’s second baby was due to arrive during a much warmer time than my first Edmonton Maternity photo session with her. Just like her winter maternity session, I did a combination of outdoor and indoor studio photos at her home. Ava joined us for the session with her mom and dad. She is such a sweet little girl! Mom has some awesome tattoos and I love the look of them and the black lace maternity wrap we used.

The outdoor portion of the maternity session was done at Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park. I have driven past it many many times on my way into St. Albert, but never actually officially checked it out until we were there for the photos. The warm Spring sun was just starting to filter through the trees and this was just from the dirt parking lot!  After a few photos with the sun. we went for a walk along the board walk to Big Lake.  It was a pretty perfect evening. And then Ava had had enough. Lol. But she lasted way longer than most little ones!

Edmonton Extended Family Photographer * Garner Family

I’ve known Lindsay since the early 2000’s when I signed up for a Polynesian dance class in Edmonton. Lindsay was one of the dance instructors. I had so much fun with that hula group over the years.

It was fun getting to photograph her and her husband’s extended family at Edmonton’s Whitemud Nature Reserve in the early Spring.  The grass and the leaves weren’t growing yet, but the sun was warm as were the colours of the nature. Her kids have the most beautiful hair!

Edmonton Winter Extended Family Photographer * The Fradettes

I am always up for photographing families in the winter time!  We need to embrace living in the north and the fact that we get snow and cold — best way is with photos!  The Fradette family wanted to celebrate the first birthday of their first grandchild, with an extended photo session. We started with some in home studio photos before heading outside to the forest behind their St Albert home.
